Unwrapping Gratitude

Indiana basketball legend, John Wooden, is credited with a powerful quote: “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out!”

It has such an intentional message about the abiding value of GRATITUDE! The Villages team is relentless in our desire for EACH of you to know how grateful we are, EVERY DAY, for your investment in the life-changing work of enriching the lives of 3,100 children DAILY and more than 11,000 children and their families each year. This would be impossible without your commitment as volunteers, donors, sponsors and partners!

ANGELIQUE is taking big 4-year-old strides because you helped us get the specialized shoes she needs; MONROE can play basketball on his middle school team because you helped us provide a gym bag and uniform; and foster parents TRENT and CHRISTINE have a back-up generator to assure that their infant foster daughter, who is on full-time oxygen, will always be protected from the frequent power outages in their rural area!

Listening to your VOICES is also a part of our gratitude! Many of you have told us that you would love the opportunity to make a regular, recurring gift to The Villages’ special children … just as you do to your college or faith community! This month, we are introducing our new Monthly Giving Community, BRIGHTER FUTURES. To join this enthusiastic group of givers, click here.

I heard it said that feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and never giving it. So, please consider yourself “gifted” with our genuine, never-ending GRATITUDE.

With deepest thanks,
