Ready to Support Prevent Child Abuse Indiana?
Help Support Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, a Division of The Villages, this April as we raise money to support vital programs that provide child abuse prevention and education across the state.
Matt Breman was a former Board Chair of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana who was a strong advocate of championing all of Indiana’s most vulnerable children. Sadly, Matt died unexpectedly in 2003. Soon after, his widow, Rhonda Yoder Breman, began her involvement with Prevent Child Abuse Indiana and then The Villages when the two merged. This race began as a way to honor Matt and his memory and a way to thank him for the time he dedicated to child abuse prevention.
Today Rhonda is still very involved with The Villages, is a former Board Chair herself, and current member of the Board of Directors.
Please join Rhonda, her two children, and the rest of the Prevent Child Abuse Indiana and The Villages family as we remember Matt and his love for protecting all children from abuse and neglect!
How do I register?
You can register easily online until Monday, April 8, 2019. Early bird rates are available from December 1st until February 15th so don’t wait! Registration the day of the event is open from 7:30-8:30am though walk-up pricing will be $40 for adults and youth and $15 for children (ages 3-11).
How do I sign up for the Katz, Sapper & Miller Kiddie Run?
There is no need to register for the Katz, Sapper & Miller Kiddie Run. Any child who is registered for the 4k race is welcome to participate. It is a very short path along the canal route. All those who participate will get a medal.
How do I get my race packet?
You can pick your packet up on Friday, April 12th at The Villages office at 3833 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, from 8:00am – 5:30pm. The race packet will contain your event t-shirt plus goodies from our sponsors. The t-shirts are a cotton blend and should reflect the size indicated when you registered. Team Captains are welcome to pick up packets for all on their team. Stay tuned for details about our Drive Thru Divas who will be offering t-shirt and packet pick-up that day without you having to get out of your car! Specific times will be posted so keep a look out!
Want to join a current team?
If you want to walk with someone else’s team at the event we ask that you first register for the event. You can then donate their team and help fundraise! If you don’t want to participate but want to donate, check out the list to the right and click “Join” next to the team you would like to donate to.
Wish to create a new team?
Please register for the race first. Once that is complete you will be given a link to your Fundraising Center with options to create or join a team. Detailed instructions can be found here.
*Waivers must be signed before the race for all participants. If you are age 17 or younger you must have your parent/guardian sign the waiver for you. Event may be cancelled or delayed due to extreme weather or other emergencies. NO REFUNDS.
