Champions for Children

The Villages’ mission is to support families and communities to build brighter futures for children, youth, and those who care for them. The Villages’ vision is that every child, youth, and family will flourish in safe, nurturing environments.

As one of the state’s largest not-for-profit child and family services agency, we serve more than 3,100 children and their families every single day. We’re also proud to serve as a partner agency to United Way of Central Indiana, which is committed to sustaining vital human services for those who need them most.

Since 2008, The Villages has placed more than 624 children with forever families, and 9 out of 10 children in our foster care program are placed in just a single home. Additionally, over 90% of those children were adopted by their Villages foster family. It’s proof of our commitment to providing stability for vulnerable youth—and helping give them more opportunities to grow. Read about the milestones we achieved last couple of years in our most recent Annual Report or learn about our future plans in our newly adopted 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.
