Amazon Wish Lists help The Villages of Indiana identify and share specific needs for participants in Foster Care, Kinship Care, Healthy Families, and Older Youth Services. Donations ship to our Indianapolis office but are distributed statewide.
The Villages Back to School Wish List
Donation Drives
We are grateful to organizations that host donation drives for The Villages of Indiana’s children and families. Some of the most needed items include:
- Gift Cards: Highly valued for teens and families needing essentials.
- Hygiene Products: Essentials like toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, and more are always in need.
- Back-to-School Supplies: A backpack and supplies cost about $150 per child. Access our Back-to-School Drive Tool Kit.
- Diapers & Wipes: Our largest ongoing need in all sizes.
- Baby Essentials: Diaper cream, baby wash, developmental toys, and clothing are critical.
- Household Essentials: Cleaning supplies such as dish soap, detergent, and disinfectants help keep families safe.
The Village Shoppe
The Village Shoppe is a dedicated space where staff statewide can access essential items for immediate and ongoing needs. This resource empowers foster parents to welcome more children, supports grandparents caring for grandchildren, and provides older youth with a moment of dignity allowing them to choose items that reflect their personality.
We welcome NEW donations of the following:
- Diapers, wipes, formula (Gerber Good Start preferred), and other baby essentials
- Full-sized toiletries and hygiene products (deodorant, razors, body wash, feminine products, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, toothpaste, etc.)
- Socks and underwear
- Clothing, shoes, and coats (recently laundered, gently used items accepted)
- Books, toys, games, puzzles, and arts & crafts for all ages
- School supplies
- Backpacks and duffle bags
- Blankets
Please note: For the health and safety of our clients, we CANNOT accept certain USED items, including toys, plush toys, cribs, mattresses, pillows, car seats, undergarments, or items from a smoking home. We also DO NOT accept formalwear, including suits, prom dresses, etc.
