The Villages is a partner in Indiana's "Adoption: Opening Hearts. Changing Lives." adoption initiative for children with special needs. This group includes teenagers, sibling groups, minorities and children with emotional or behavioral issues, learning disabilities or medical needs. There are funds available to assist families adopting special needs children who meet specific criteria outlined by state and federal guidelines.
